Financial Aid Information for Parents
Dear Parents:
You recently received re-enrollment contracts for the 2010–2011 school year. We value the trust you place in St. Margaret’s Episcopal School to educate your children and look forward to continuing our partnership with your family. We also recognize the financial investment this requires and, in many cases, the sacrifices you make when placing a high priority on your children’s education. This year, more than ever, we want you to know about our financial aid program designed to offer assistance with meeting the costs of a St. Margaret’s education.
St. Margaret’s offers a robust need-based financial aid program. Awards are provided according to demonstrated financial need as determined through a financial aid application. The Financial Aid Committee calculates the difference between a reasonable family contribution and the total cost of attendance (tuition, fees, books, uniforms, etc.), and makes every effort to meet a family’s full demonstrated need. The Board of Trustees has been very intentional in increasing financial aid funding, almost tripling the financial aid budget over the past four years, and will provide nearly $3 million dollars in financial aid for the 2010–2011 school year.
Please click here to review a brochure highlighting St. Margaret’s financial aid program. Included are several family scenarios illustrating need-based financial aid awards. If you have concerns about affording St. Margaret’s for the coming school year, I highly encourage you to contact me as soon as possible to request a financial aid application or schedule a personal meeting to confidentially discuss your financial situation. The priority deadline for completing a financial aid application is March 15, 2010.
St. Margaret’s financial aid program benefits the entire school community by allowing us to attract and retain the best students and families possible, regardless of economic background or circumstances. We very much want your children to remain at St. Margaret’s and are here to serve you should you have any financial concerns.
With best regards,
Ryan S. Dahlem
Director of Admission & Financial Aid
