Club 30: A Great and Giving Gala

Last Saturday was a unique and special occasion the St. Margaret’s community will always remember. At Club 30: A Tartan Jazz Club, the entire St. Margaret’s community gathered to celebrate the school’s 30th year and raise funds for the school. This glamorous night at the St. Regis Resort featured silent and live auctions, student performances and a moving film launching the public leadership phase of the Building on the Promise campaign.

This annual event supporting the St. Margaret’s Library presented by the Parent Teacher Fellowship will be held on Friday, April 30, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the beautiful McMackin family Newport Coast residence. The theme of this year’s luncheon is “Teatime in Wonderland,” and the Queen of Hearts hereby invites all interested hostesses and servers to contact the PTF for more information about how to decorate a table at this important yearly fund-raiser. The PTF is pleased to announce that the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort, destination for the PTF Spring Fundraiser, Club 30: A Tartan Jazz Club, has offered special room rates and also a Kids Club for February 27, the night of Club 30.

Cultural Arts Alliance Brings South American Music to St. Margaret’s

Last week, students in the Middle and Upper School students experienced the rich heritage of the Inca and Aymara cultures through Latin American music and dance. These Cultural Arts assemblies sponsored by the Parent Teacher Fellowship featured Bolivian musical and dance performances by Alturas Music. St. Margaret’s PTF Arts Alliance Upper School Cultural Arts Chair Carol Kelly, says, “The goal of these assemblies is to being music from other countries to the students.” This group in particular was well-suited to do so, as Mrs. Kelly elaborates: “They make their own …

More than 20 Middle School and Upper School student performers will sing, dance, or play instruments at the PTF Fundraiser, Club 30: A Tartan Jazz Club, showcasing student talent and the breadth and excellence of the St. Margaret’s education.
